Good day
I am Anna Massinissa, founder and curator of the FabrianoInAcquarello year Conference and of Watercolor Museum - I am also leader of one of the italian community group in 2020 catalogue.
WELCOME to FabrianoInAcquarello 2020 online edition.
It is a SAD TIME, this year not a TIME OF JOY, but a time of RESPONSABILITY.
The RESPONSABILITY to FEEL that as ARTIST we have THE POSSIBILITY TO LIGHT UP LIFE; as Artist we have the possibility to TELL, to EXPRESS, and WE CAN NOT STOP DOING IT, FOR OUR OWN benefit and for the COMMUNITY we belong to. AND WE DO it in SPIRIT OF SERVICE.
YOU WILL FORGIVE US IF during this festival we WILL NOT BE PERFORMING in the best professional WEB technologies – sorry, but as from DOMESTIC QUARANTINE, myself and all MASTERS and PERFORMERS, had not access to usual quality of technologies. WE DID OUR BEST as, when pandemic started we felt it was MOST IMPORTANT to JOIN US TOGETHER: in any way we could do it, that would have worked for our main task.
I am, and I belive we all are, very THANKFULL to the BRAVE ONES who ACCEPTED the CHALLENGE
and to those who, as audience, will JOIN this NEW EXPERIMENTAL CONFERENCE MEETING.
Later I will be grtefull to all those who will want to SHARE FEELINGS and NEW IDEAS, for the all COMMUNITY benefit. We will spread some tools to collect suggestions.

About this ATYPICAL FabrianoInAcquarello ONLINE CONFERENCE MEETING in 2020:
APPOINTMENTS I believe you have seen in the program we have shared, if you need the program again go to: WWW.FABRIANOINACQUARELLO.BLOGSPOT.COM – and please REMIND: all timing are expressed as from ITALIAN TIME ZONE.
Every day we will informa again about DAY APPOINTMENTS by a YOUTUBE VIDEO and by a POST in social networks.
Still it is important that I FOCUS YOU on FEW POINTS that are BASE for FabrianoInAcquarello VISION
- anyone who wil join the Congress, will be ASKED to RESPECT them and BEHAVE this way.
It is our VISION:
Point 1. All our activities must be AWAY FROM any COMPETITION – COMPETITION is forbidden in any form - (it is BANNED / it is FAR / it is NOT INVOLVED IN the Congress)
Point 2. We strogly feel the need ART is SHARING. ART is JOY. ART is EXPRESSION of any culture and any happening. Because ART belongs to EVERYBODY with NO BARRIERES: not geographica, not political, not personal or artistic.
Point 3. WE – I mean FabrianoInAcquarello whole audience participating the Congress meeting, and feeling part of a very unconventional, I KNOW, World Community - … WE do not have COMPETITORS, we do not have ENEMIES, nor CLOSED DOORS.
FabrianoInAcquarello Conference meeting and FabrianoInAcquarello ART Community IS OPEN TO WELCOME all: Masters, Students, Artist, Organization, cities, art operators, gallerist, school, audience, all styles and all ages – but, again, anyone who will join will be ASKED to REPECT this VISION. Absolutely.
It was very FRUSTRATING in past years, LOOSING TIME in matters regarding competitions among SOCIETIES, and CITIES, and ARTIST. If the VIRUS time has teached us something it is that WE will NO MORE DO – rather we will use our time TO DO ART and SERVE ART in spirit of SERVICE by an OPEN DOOAR on ART WORLD. Sorry for repeating it again, but as I have seen, this is not still clear.
Point 4. It is our STRONG WISH that by FabrianoInAcquarello world Conference, watercolorist GRAW ATTENTION on very importanta ART MATTERS – tehy are:
a. RESEARCH – PERSONAL STYLE – EXPRESSION AND MEANING OF PERSONAL ART
b. GIVING SPACE TO YOUNG TALENTS: GROWING NEW JENERATIONS OF ARTIS (role of SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS is very important in this task)
c. STUDY OF TECHNICQUE AND OF TRADITION
d. GIVING RESPECT TO OUR MASTERS
This is necessary to BRING WATERCOLOR to a high ROLE IN ART – the role it deserve as unique ECOLOGICAL media – and as CREATIVE base to develope a LANGUAGE that can be PERSONAL emotional releaf and also base for a SOCIAL sharing (what we call RELATIONAL ART): able to recognize we are all very similar.

And NOW here are a few informations about FabrianoInAcquarello 2020, to respond publically the many questions I was given in past months.
- This year we have INTRODUCED a new SYSTEM in identification of COMMUNITIES:
we have 2 kind of communities:
COUNTRY Communities and INTERNATIONAL Communities.
COUNTRY communities represent a geographical area – as we did for many years – and are expression of WATERCOLOR different cultures in the world (more than 70 this year).
INTERNATIONAL communities represent the world sharing language – and they are expression of WATERCOLOR beeing a trasversal language for all cultures of the world.
- The LEADER who represent each community is the CURATOR for the group he has organized, and as every ART CURATOR he is responsable of his choice in selecting his group - he is giving big effort to WTERCOLOR ART by his sensibility to grow the ART MATTERS we talked before and to grow WATERCOLOR to a top position and to a bright FUTURE - we must be very thankfull for this to all our leaders.
- We are experimenting new kind of leadership and communities – in order to do this job better and better – for example: Italy is having 4 different leader’s groups – other countries are having a team leadership or a shared leadership. All kind of setting, I must say are working very well and suit different needs from the many areas of the world.
New use of technologies and new organization of selection system, we hope to develope more to give all artist the possibility to participate in the projects.

Finally, I hope you will enjoy the festival. Many of the performance I am sure will surprise you – remind always to take all proposal as the way to grow your own vision: they are ispiration to find your own way to go trough watercolor Art.
WE HAVE DIVIDED THE CONFERENCES, SAME AS WE USED TO DO IN FABRIANO, IN TIMING BY KIND OF PERFORMANCES:
At 10 every day Italy time zone - we will propose DEMOS BY ITALIAN MASTER
At 11 every day Italy time zone - we will propose DEMOS BY INTERNATIONAL ARTIS AND BY THE UNDER 30 YEARS OLD
At 12 Italy time zone – every day, from TUESDAY - we will propose LEDER PANEL DISCUSSIONS ABOUT SPECIAL TOPICS
MONDAY appointment is dedicated to some of the BRANDS who have wanted to reorganize a kind of VIRTUAL INFO POINT
At 15 AND 16 (3 e 4 pm) every day Italy time zone
we will propose A DOUBLE SECTION OF VERY IMPORTANT MASTER DEMOS AND LECTURE
At 17 (5 pm) Italy time zone – ONLY SATURADAY AND SUNDAY, we will propose FBRIANO ROOTS TESTIMONIAL DEMO
At 21 (9 pm) every day Italy time zone - we will PROPOSE SOME GREETINGS FROM OUR MAJOR AND from SOME FIENDS IN THE WORLD
AT 22 (10pm) every day Italy time zone - TUESDAY to STURDAY - we will PRESENT ALL OUR ARTIST IN CATALOGUES – BY PRESENTING THE CATALOGUES PAGES
ON MONDAY 25 AND SUNDAY 31 - AT 22 (10 pm) going on for next 12 hours – DO NOT forget to participate the COLLECTIVE PAINTING – this was the only way we had to propose a participated appointment where all of us together could have been protagonist and share our art. THIS IS a SYBOL of our MAIN VISION, that is: “ALL TOGETHER, sharing, BY WATERCOLOR ART”.

Ci perdonerete SE durante questo festival NON avremo dato il massimo nell’uso delle tecnologie WEB professionali, chiediamo scusa ma durante la QUARANTENA DOMESTICA, in cui ci siamo trovati a lavorare sia io che tutti i MASTER e PERFORMERS, non abbiamo avuto accesso alle solite tecnologie di qualità. ABBIAMO FATTO IL NOSTRO MEGLIO poiché, quando è iniziata la pandemia, abbiamo ritenuto PIÙ IMPORTANTE FARE IN MODO DI ESSERE INSIEME, ci siamo detti che in qualunque modo avremmo potuto operare, avrebbe funzionato allo scopo.

Immagino che abbiate già visto l’elenco di appuntamenti del programma sui post e nel blog che abbiamo condiviso, se avete ancora bisogno del programma andate su www.FABRIANOINACQUARELLO.BLOGSPOT.COM – RICORDATE: tutti gli orari sono secondo il FUSO ORARIO ITALIANO.
Ogni giorno elencheremo di nuovo gli APPUNTAMENTI con un VIDEO YOUTUBE e con un POST nei social network.
Tuttavia è importante che focalizziamo su ALCUNI PUNTI FONDAMENTALI della VISION di FabrianoInAcquarello:
- ad ogni partecipante al Convegno, viene CHIEDUTO di RISPETTARLI e COMPORTARSi in relazione.
La nostra VISION (filosofia):
Punto 1. Tutte le nostre attività sono AVULSE DA OGNI TIPO DI COMPETIZIONE
- È vietato LA COMPETIZIONE in qualsiasi forma - (è VIETATA / non è CONTEMPLATA / è BANDITA dal Convegno FabrianoInAcquarello)
Punto 2. Sentiamo pressante il bisogno che l’ARTE sia CONDIVISIONE. L'ARTE è GIOIA. L'ARTE è ESPRESSIONE di qualsiasi cultura e qualsiasi avvenimento. Perché l'ARTE appartiene a TUTTI senza BARRIERE: non geografiche, né politiche, né personali, né artistiche.
Punto 3. NOI - Intendo tutto il pubblico che partecipa a FabrianoInAcquarello ed è parte di una comunità internazionale, non tanto convenzionale per la verità, ma partecipando anche solo come fruitore ne è parte - NOI non abbiamo CONCORRENTI, non abbiamo NEMICI, né PORTE CHIUSE.
Il Convegno FabrianoInAcquarello e la Comunità artistica FabrianoInAcquarello, SONO APERTI ad ACCOGLIERE tutti: Maestri, Studenti, Artisti, Organizzazioni, Città, operatori artistici, galleristi, scuola, pubblico, tutti gli stili e tutte le età – ma, di nuovo, a chiunque deciderà di partecipare, sarà chiesto DI RISPETTARE questa VISION. Assolutamente
È stato molto FRUSTRANTE negli anni passati, sprecare tanto tempo in questioni riguardanti la competizione tra SOCIETÀ, ASSOCIAZIONI, CITTÀ e ARTISTI. Se questo tempo di VIRUS ci ha insegnato qualcosa è che NON LO FAREMO PIÙ - piuttosto useremo il nostro tempo PER FARE ARTE, in spirito di SERVIZIO e quindi con una PORTA APERTA a tutto il MONDO dell’ARTE. Scusatemi per aver ripetuto questo concetto più volte e per tanti anni, ma sembra non essere ancora chiaro.
Punto 4. È primario obiettivo del Convegno FabrianoIncquarello stimolare negli acquarellisti una ATTENZIONE su CONCETTI molto importanti nel MONDO dell’ARTE – essi sono:
- RICERCA - STILE PERSONALE - ESPRESSIONE E SIGNIFICATO DELL'ARTE PERSONALE
- DARE SPAZIO AI GIOVANI TALENTI - CRESCERE NUOVE GENERE DI ARTISTI (il ruolo delle SCUOLE e degli INSEGNANTI è in questo molto importante)
- incentivare lo STUDIO DI TECNICA E DI TRADIZIONE
- dedicare ATTENZIONE e RISPETTO AI NOSTRI MAESTRI
Ciò è necessario per portare l’ACQUARELLO a una posizione adeguata nel mondo dell’ARTE – posizione che merita in quanto unica tecnica ECOLOGICA, base CREATIVA perfetta per sviluppare un LINGUAGGIO espressivo emotivo e PERSONALE, oltre che base perfetta la condivisione dell’arte SOCIALE (che solitamente definiamo RELAZIONALE), in grado di farci sperimentare che siamo tutti molto simili.

E ORA do alcune informazioni su FabrianoInAcquarello 2020, per rispondere pubblicamente a molte domande che mi sono state fatte nei mesi scorsi.
- Quest'anno abbiamo ELABORATO un nuovo SISTEMA identificativo delle COMUNITÀ di FabrianoInAcquarello.
abbiamo 2 tipi di comunità: le COUNTRY Comunity (dei PAESI) e le comunità INTERNAZIONALI.
Le COUNTRY Comunity rappresentano le aree geografiche - come abbiamo fatto per molti anni - e sono espressione dell’Arte dell’Acquarello nelle diverse culture del mondo.
Le comunità INTERNAZIONALI rappresentano il mondo - e sono espressione dell’Arte dell’Acquarello come linguaggio trasversale in tutte le culture del mondo.
- Il LEADER che rappresenta ogni comunità, è il CURATORE del gruppo che ha organizzato, e come ogni CURATORE ARTISTICO è responsabile della sua scelta nella selezione – dando un grande contributo, attraverso la sua sensibilità, per far crescere l’Acquarello nel Mondo e nel futuro - per questo dobbiamo essere molto grati a tutti i nostri leader.
- Stiamo sperimentando anche nuovi tipi di leadership e di comunità: l'Italia ha 4 gruppi diversi - altri paesi hanno una squadra di leader o una leadership condivisa. Tutti, devo dire, funzionano bene.

Infine, spero che il festival vi piacerà. Molte delle performance di quest’anno, sono sicura, vi sorprenderanno – suggerisco che ognuna sia spunto per far crescere la vostra visione personale e sia ispirazione per trovare il vostro modo di applicare l'arte dell'acquerello.

Alle 12, tutti i giorni, da MARTEDÌ (fuso orario Italia) – l’appuntamento è con le TAVOLE ROTONDE dei LEADER SUI TEMI inerenti l’acquarello - L'appuntamento di LUNEDÌ è dedicato ad alcuni dei BRANDS che hanno voluto riorganizzare una sorta di PUNTO DI INFORMAZIONI VIRTUALE come facevamo a Fabriano.
Alle 15 e alle 16 (fuso orario Italia) – l’appuntamento è con una DOPPIA SESSIONE di DEMO o CONFERENZE dei MAESTI ACQUARELLISTI
Alle 17 - SOLO SABATO E DOMENICA (fuso orario Italia) – l’appuntamento è con le DEMO TESTIMONIAL delle RADICI FabrianoInAcquarello
Alle 21 (fuso orario Italia) – l’appuntamento è con i SALUTI da Fabriano e dal Mondo
Alle 22 - DA MARTEDÌ A SABATO - (fuso orario Italia) – l’appuntamento è con TUTTI gli ARTISTA IN CATALOGO – attraverso la presentazione delle PAGINE del CATALOGO
LUNEDÌ 25 E DOMENICA 31 - dalle 22 e per le successive 12 ore (in modo che ognuno lo possa fare comodomante secondo il suo fuso orario) - NON dimenticate di partecipare alla PITTURA COLLETTIVA - questo era l'unico modo per poter proporre un appuntamento dove tutti noi possiamo partecipare insieme come protagonisti e condividere la nostra arte.
